For instance, you may chose to try out being a partial vegetarian and avoid meat but may eat fish (pesco-vegetarian, pescatarian) or poultry (pollo-vegetarian). From there you may transition into becoming a lacto-ovo vegetarian. Lacto-ovo vegetarians do not eat meat, poultry, or fish, but do eat eggs and dairy products.
